Session 1 — Deep-dive & groundwork
We unpack your story: education, roles, moves, pauses, and the current situation. We also map what you've already tried.
How it works
No mysterious "coaching magic". Just a transparent, structured journey from "I have no idea what I'm doing" to "I know my next moves for the next 30–90 days".
The goal isn't a perfect answer. It's a better, testable next step that fits your reality.
Every client goes through the same backbone: Discover, Design, and Do & iterate. The depth and number of sessions shift depending on your situation, but the structure stays consistent.
We gather inputs: your story, interests, values, constraints, and current options. This phase is about understanding, not judging.
We narrow possibilities into 1–3 realistic paths, then design an initial 30–90 day career experiment plan.
You test the plan in the real world—applications, conversations, projects—while we refine your strategy and materials.
This is a sample flow for a short programme (3–5 sessions). Single sessions follow the same logic but focus on one slice of the journey.
We unpack your story: education, roles, moves, pauses, and the current situation. We also map what you've already tried.
We compare 2–3 possible directions using your priorities: learning, money, stability, geography, family, visas, energy levels, and more.
We translate your background into language those target roles actually use, so hiring managers can see the fit.
We break your goals into concrete weekly actions you can realistically maintain—not just “apply to 50 jobs per week”.
We analyse what's happening in the real world—responses, interviews, rejections—and update your plan and positioning.
If you don't need the whole arc, we can zoom in on one step: clarity, documents, interviews, or decision-making.
All of the theory means nothing if it doesn't fit your actual life. We keep the format flexible while the structure stays solid.
Sessions are usually 60 minutes, online, and structured around a clear objective for that call.
You get reflection prompts, experiments, or tasks to run in the real world—and we build those around your available time and energy.
We mix assessments, worksheets, and structured frameworks instead of improvising every time.
You're not paying for "a nice chat". You're paying for better decisions, fewer random applications, and a clear sense of what you're doing and why.
A clear picture of where you are now: skills, experience, constraints, and realities. Useful even if you work with someone else later.
Not just “I should work in tech”. Specific roles or problem spaces that match your story and constraints.
Weekly actions, experiments, and decision checkpoints so you can move forward without burning out.
If you're cautious, good. You should be. Here are a few questions that usually show up before someone books a session.
That's normal. We don't start with "what job do you want?" We start with your story, patterns, and constraints, then build from there.
Then we spend less time in discovery and more on comparing options, positioning you, and designing experiments within that field.
We can still work together. We'll focus on preparing your story and materials for the Canadian market and planning realistic timelines.
No. Anyone who does is lying. What we can promise is a more focused search, better positioning, and fewer self-sabotaging decisions.
Many people start with 1–3. Some stay longer for support during transitions. We'll make a recommendation after your first session.
Yes, within reason. We offer flexible hours, especially for people balancing work, school, caregiving, or time zones.
Share where you're stuck and what you're hoping will change. We'll reply with an honest recommendation—even if that recommendation is "you don't need us yet".
